Feeling overwhelmed by sadness or worry and unable to find joy in life can be a paralyzing experience that can leave you feeling hopeless and lonely.
But you’re not alone.
Whether you're seeking online therapy for anxiety, or looking for in-person therapy for depression, my services are designed to support you in feeling your best. I provide therapy for anxiety and depression in Oakland, and virtually for all California residents, and I’m here to help.
It can be difficult to know where to get help, but reaching out for support is a crucial first step.
Is this you?
You’ve lost interest in things that used to bring you joy.
You worry that your friends are tired of hearing about your issues and you feel alone.
You struggle to stay focused, and end up getting little done.
You ruminate and worry about the smallest of things.
You have a harsh inner critic that nitpicks everything you do.
You’ve started avoiding social situations, opting to stay home more often than you’d like.
How to know when you need more support.
Depression and anxiety can take on many forms, and the effects can be debilitating. Some level of sadness and worry can be a natural part of life, but how do you know when it’s gone too far?
You might find that your anxiety is getting in the way of your relationship, your friendships, or even your job. Perhaps you’re having a hard time focusing and stay motivated, and now your inner critic won’t let you forget it. Most people experience some form of emotional hardship, but when it happens to you the tendency is to retreat and feel deeply alone.
The first step on your path to wellness is reaching out for support from a depression and anxiety therapist. You may have convinced yourself in the past that the only way forward was carrying your burden on your own, but you don’t have to.

How I help.
Anxiety and depression are often the result of past trauma and hardship, leaving behind a sense of the world (and the people in it) as uncaring or unsafe. These are isolating conditions, often leaving you confused about where to get help.
I utilize a gentle, non-judgmental approach to help you get unstuck from your current situation. My two-pronged technique addresses both the current thoughts making you feel unwell, as well as the underlying factors that got you there.
In the here and now, I utilize evidence-based techniques such as Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to teach practical skills to help give you immediate relief. From there, we’ll take a deeper dive into unpacking past experiences that are at the root of your discomfort. Together we’ll explore how these events may have shaped your relationship to others and, more importantly, to yourself.
